Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge or similar, Arusha, Tanzania
You will be collected from the airport upon your arrival and transferred to your lodge in the lush forests surrounding the town of Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to explore the lodge grounds, take a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available. (D) Approx distance: 50km, driving time: 1 hour.

Day 2 Rift Valley Photographic Lodge or similar, Manyara
Your safari sets begin after breakfast this morning. Our first stop is Arusha town, for any last minute purchases, before we head off on an exciting safari experience! We will be in Tarangire National Park for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra. (BLD) Approx distance 250km, driving time: 4-5 (including game drive speeds).

Day 3 Rift Valley Photographic Lodge or similar, Tanzania
We head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. This spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Lake Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions. (BLD) Approx distance: 12okm, driving time: 3-4 hours (including game drive speeds).

Day 4&5 Kisura Kenzan Tented Camp or similar, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

After breakfast we drive up the Rift Valley escarpment towards the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. A spectacular drive up the crater wall leads us to the magnificent wildlife sanctuary, where we spend several hours exploring the floor of the crater. After lunch depart from the crater and head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way. An early start the second morning sees us heading out after breakfast for a game drive in the magnificent Serengeti Nationanl Park. With a picnic lunch provided, go ahead with the game drives throughout the afternoon in the endless plains spotting many animals and truly realizing just why this National Park is so famous. In the later afternoon drive back to the lodge to overnight.(BLD/BLD) Approx distance: 400km, driving time: 6-7 hours (including game drive speeds).

Day 6 Rift Valley Photographic Lodge (or similar), Lake Manyara
Today we retrace our steps with morning game drive through the Serengeti followed by Picnic Lunch, before continue the game drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En-route visit Olduvai Gorge Museum. (BLD) Approx distance: 200km, driving time: 5-6 hours.

Day 7 Arusha, Tanzania - Tour Ends.
After breakfast, explore the colourful town of Mto-wa-Mbu for some last minute photographs and curio shopping, before we return to Arusha where the tour will end at the safari office. (BL) Approx distance: 250km, driving time: 3-4 hours. End of services.
