Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Villa Violet, Windhoek
Upon arrival in Windhoek collect your vehicle and drive to Villa Violet Guesthouse, the rest of the day is at leisure. With just six rooms, Villa Violet is a small bed and breakfast guesthouse tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood.

Day 2 Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, Kalahari Namibia
From Windhoek, your self-adventure starts - head south into the Kalahari basin. After your arrival, relax, enjoy a self-guided walk or perhaps join a nature drive through the reserve and learn about this beautiful region looking out for some of the desert animals found here crossing the stunning linear dunes and grassy tree-lined valleys.

Day 3-7 Fish River Lodge, Fish River Canyon
Depart from the Kalahari, driving south to Fish River Canyon. The next days are spent hiking through this incredible landscape - you'll cross rivers, boulders as well climb and ascend so a good fitness level is essential. This rewarding hike is one of the best in Namibia. The canyon was formed when the plates of the African continent split and gradually deepened by the flow of the river. Today, in the midst of ridged plains and mountains, visitors can look down into its depts and see the geological history written in its layers.

Day 8-9 Klein Aus Vista
Today, drive to Klein Aus Vista - one of Namibia's best kept secrets. This afternoon perhaps take a walk in the surrounding mountains and appreciate the stunning views and the following day recommend you take a day trip to explore the coastal town of Luderitz, the harsh and windy peninsula, and visit Kolmanskop Ghost Town - a tribute to the diamond mining history of the area.

Day 10-11 Tok Tokkie Trails, NamibRand
Leave Klein Aus and drive north to the NamibRand - one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. The hiking here is considerably easier than Fish River, but you'll still be hiking over sand dunes, across gravel plains and dry river-beds enjoying the peace and quiet. Your guide will explain the wonders of the Namib Desert and how fascinating desert life is. This is a fully-serviced camping hike

Day 12-13 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
From the end of your Tok Tokkie Hike, continue Sesriem Campsite located inside the national park. This afternoon relax by the swimming pool and perhaps visit Elim's Dune for a spectacular sunset. The following day rise early to venture into the fields prior to sunrise - climb the dune around Sossusvlei to appreciate the endless sand vista and a visit to Dead Vlei is a must!

Day 14-15 Swakopmund Sands Hotel, Swakopmund
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund today, en-route you may choose to stop at Walvis Bay to visit the Lagoon, a protected RAMSAR wetland site, to see the many species of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, along with other water birds. From here, it is a short coastal drive to Swakopmund, your base for 2nights, where you'll have the chance to join activities such as scenic flights, sand-boarding, quad-biking or for those seeking a something less demanding - a marine cruise. There is plenty to choose from

Day 16-17 Erindi Old Traders Lodge, Central Namibia
Drive through to Erindi Private Game Reserve where you stay in the lodge for 2nights. Relax around the waterholes to watch the animals come to drink, or perhaps join optional game drives on one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Addtional activities include telemetry tracking, pangolin tracking, and the chance to meet with a leopard researcher.

Day 18 Na/'ankuse Lodge, Central Namibia
Your final night is spent at Na/'ankuse Lodge, located between the city and en-route to the airport. This afternoon join a carnivore feeding tour where there is the chance to see animals such as lion, leopard, or wild dog at close quarters.

Day 19 Departure
Return to airport and take onward connection
