Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, Kalahari Namibia
This morning depart after breakfast and head south onto the Kalahari Basin, around 3 hours drive. The campsites are privately situated so you can relax, enjoy a self-guided walk, horse-ride, or perhaps join a nature drive through the reserve and learn about this beautiful region and the desert adapted animals that survive here.

Day 2-3 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
Recommend an early morning for your drive to Sesriem, the main campsite and entry point to the famous sand dunes of Sossusvlei, upon arrival you can relax by the swimming pool and later take a walk to the nearby Elim's Dune for sunset. The following day venture into the dune fields early, when the light creates the most dramatic colours and shapes on the dunes. Explore Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei - the clear blue skies contrast with the giant apricot dunes to make this one of Africa's natural wonders.

Day 4-5 Meerkat Guesthouse, Swakopmund
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund today, en-route you may choose to stop at Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon, a protected RAMSAR wetland site, to see the many species of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, avocets, plovers and the endemic Damara tern. Onto the historic and adventure seaside town of Swakopmund, perhaps join optional activites on offer such as marine or catamaran cruise and experience the thrill of dolphin leaping out of the water along the boat, kayaking, sky-diving, sand-boarding, scenic flights and much more...

Day 6 Madisa Campsite, Damaraland
Your destination today is in the Twyfelfontein area, a very vulnerable and delicate ecosystem renowned for some of the best rock engraving in Southern Africa. Visit the engravings and perhaps Damara Living Museum to find out about one of the local tribes

Day 7-8 Hoada Camp Site, Damaraland
Continue through the stunning Damara landscapes onto Hoada Community Campsite in the northern aspect of the region. Optional activities consist of hiking trials; rhino tracking, elephant tracking, Damara community visits and nature drives.

Day 9-10 Okaukuejo Campsite, Etosha National Park
Onward to Etosha, one of the best game reserves in Southern Africa and home to many species of game including lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, hyena, giraffe, and many types of antelope including the endemic black faced impala. Spend your days game driving and evenings around the floodlit waterhole

Day 11 Onguma Campsite, Etosha National Park
Drive across Etosha, stopping en route at some of the waterholes for more sightings. Onguma is located just ouside the park boundary on a private reserve bordering Etosha and shares Fischers Pan as a boundary. Join optional activities such as a sundowner drive or a night drive seeking out nocturnal animals

Day 12 Omboroko Campsite, Okonjima Nature Reserve
After a leisurely breakfast and final game drive to the reserves' gate, head south to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, where you spend a final night here you have the chance to learn about predator conservation in Namibia and in particular about the endangered cheetah. See these beautiful cats close up

Day 13 Departure
Return to Windhoek, perhaps stop at Okahandja craft markets where you can barter for African wooded craft before continuing to the city to drop off your vehicle and take your onward connection.
