Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Erindi Old Traders Lodge, Central Namibia
This morning collect your rental vehicle and drive north to Erindi, a private reserve full of enticing game such as elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and even endangered wild dog, not forgetting hippo and crocodiles. This afternoon you can enjoy an optional game drive, heading off into the veldt in search of some of the species of game and birds before returning to the lodge around sunset. Alternatively, sit by the swimming pool or your room overlooking a floodlit waterhole and watch the game come to quench their thirst.

Day 2-3 Hobatere Lodge, Kaokoveld
Hobatere has recently re-opened its doors and makes a welcome return! Located on the west aspect of Etosha National Park (close to the Galton Gate), it gives visitors a chance to sit and relax at the waterhole, in the hide or head out on game drives in open vehicles. 2 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis with additional meals and activities on own expense.

Day 4-5 Okaukuejo Rest Camp, Etosha National Park
Enter Etosha via Galton Gate on the western aspect - this area attracts species not seen in other areas of the park such as Hartmann's mountain zebra and baboon, continue your drive east to Okaukekuje - the main rest camp of Etosha and where the floodlit waterhole attracts game such as herds of elephants, prides of lion, black rhino, and plently of plains game.

Day 6-7 Halali Rest Camp, Etosha National Park
Continue to Halali, set in the centre of the park. stop at various waterholes along the way and enjoy the changing lanscapes. It's worth visiting Etosha Pan where during dry season you can stand on the pan and enjoy the endless vistas - the pan can be seen from space! Bed and breakfast in bush chalets.

Day 8 Okonjima Plains Camp, Okonjima Nature Reserve
After breakfast and a final game drive out of the park, drive to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, to overnight at Plains Camp, in one of their lovely twin view rooms on dinner, bed and breakfast basis, with one activity per person included. When you check in, you'll have the chance to discus which activity best suits you and your interests - whether it's tracking radio collared leopard fron the vehicle, or tracking by foot to look for wild dog, hyena or cheetah - the choice is yours.

Day 9 Departure
If time permits, you may wish to join another activity at Okonjima (own cost) before returning to Windhoek to drop off your vehicle and take your onward connection.
