Your guide will collect you from Chameleon after a leisurely breakfast and tour destination today is Bagatelle, set in the Kalahari Basin north east of the town of Mariental. A beautiful location, where the red linear dunes run for kilometress and between each dune are acacia trees offering shade and respite to the game in this reserve such as giraffe and springbok. Search for meerkat as well as a cheetah or two, these incredible cats have been provided a home in conjunction with the Cheetah Conservation Fund and you can learn more about this project during your stay and join optional activities to visit them, alternatively perhaps take part in a sundowner drive on hte reserve and head in search for the game.

Day 3-4 Canyon Raodhouse, Fish River Canyon
Depart after breakfast as it's a quite a long drive south to the Fish River Canyon, reputed to be the second largest canyon in the world. Canyon Roadhouse is situated just outside the National Park in the Gondwana region (otherwise known as the Little Karoo) and you can enjoy walks or horse riding on the land, The following day, your guide will drive you into the park to visit the viewpoints, wander along the rim of the canyon taking in the sights, and stare in wonder at the scale of the canyon. This afternoon there is time to relac, or join a self-guided walk, or optional activity at the lodge.

Day 5-6 Klein-Aus Vista - Desert Horse, Aus
Onward to one of the best kept secrets of Namibia. Klein Aus is a trully beautiful spot, situated on the edge of the desert with endless views of the open plains and mountains and we're based here for 2 nights. You may choose to relax this afternoon, enjoy a self-guide hike in the Aus Mountains, or even head out on a mountain bike trail. The following day your guide will take you through to Luderitz to visit the old diamond mining town of Kolmanskop Ghost Town as well as the town and coastal region to look for penguins, on the way back to Klein Aus we'll stop at the wild horses of Namib, one of the only 2 or 3 wild herds of horses and be amazed at how they survive in this harsh environment.

Day 7-8 The Desert Homestead, Sossusvlei
Depart after breakfast driving north throught stunning scenery and continue to Desert Homestead located in the desert, later this afternoon take a short walk to appreciate the beauty of the region ans sunset over the nearby mountains or join a sunset horse ride. It's a pre-dawn departure from the lodge with your guide the following day to arrive at the Namib Naukluft park gate for sunrise and from here drive to the 2x4 car park and the dunes. Once in the heart of the dune sea, explore this unique area on foot before heading into Dead Vlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal trees - superbs photography opportunities. Continue onto Sossusvlei before returning to the homestead via Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon, not a large canyon but one of the few places that has permanent water and helped in the survival for the local communities and animals that lived on the lands in days gone by.

Day 9-10 The Delight Swakopmund, Swakopmund
Journey from Desert Homestead through to Swakopmund, via Walvis Bay stopping at the lagoon en route to see the flamingos and pelicans before continuing to our accommodation in central Swakopmund in ensuite rooms. We will also stop just south of Henties Bay to view a shipwreck from the shore. From here turn inland to Ai Aiba Lodge located in the Erongo Conservancy and nestled into the granite boulders. The main area is home to the lounge, restaurant and bar area which overlooks a small pool. Head out later in the afternoon to explore the area and see some of the renowned rock paintings.
