Day 1 Marcuskraal Camp/Citrusdal Country Lodge, Cederberg Mountain Region
Leaving Cape Town, there’s on last photo stop at Table View for a spectacular panorama of Table Mountain. Upon arrival at our accommodation, we will enjoy wine tasting - sampling wines from the region. Tonight we will be treated to a traditional South African meal. Your guides will give you a full briefing on the tour.

Day 2 Fiddlers Creek Campsite, Namaqualand to Gariep (Orange) River, Namibia
Today we travel through the Northern Cape and Namaqualand, stopping at the remote town of Springbok for any last requirements. After crossing the Namibian border we travel to our camp on the bank of the Orange river

Day 3 Ai Ais Resort, Fish River Canyon, Namibia
This morning there’s the chance to join an optional canoe trip down the Gariep River (in the summer) or to spend some time relaxing in the camp along the river. After lunch we travel north to the Fish River Canyon and take a scenic hike along the rim in order to gain some perspective as to just how large this natural phenomenon is, later we return to Hobas and enjoy a relaxing hot shower

Day 4 Hammerstein Lodge & Rest Camp, Namib-Naukluft National Park
The Namib-Naukluft National Park is one of Namibia’s geographic gems and at 50,000 km², is one of the largest parks in Africa. There are massive sand dunes in the Sossusvlei desert area as well as the remarkable landscape.

Day 5 Hammerstein Lodge, Namib-Naukluft National Park
We start the day early and enjoy a brisk climb up Dune 45, this landmark dune offers the perfect vantage point to marvel at the endless sea of red sand. Having enjoyed an elevated view of this spectacular landscape we continue deeper into the dune fields, where a 4x4 transfer takes us to the pans of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Our final stop for the day is a late afternoon visit to the Sesriem Canyon, where we explore evidence of a wetter period in the history of this dry land. Tonight as we empty the red sand from our shoes, we reflect on the magic of the desert we have explored.

Day 6 Stay@Swakop, Swakopmund, Namibia – 1 night accommodation
We are joined by an expert local guide for a desert walk. Exploring on foot, this local guide will share his detailed knowledge of the ecosystem. Afterwards we cross the Tropic of Capricorn on our way from the Atlantic Coast. Our first stop is Walvis Bay where we may see some flamingos. Then it’s on to Swakopmund, the adventure capital of Namibia, where you will be briefed on the many optional activities available.
