Safari Itinerary

Kruger Safaris are offered from a range of days from 3-7, and choose from camping to accommodation inside the national park. Options also available to combine this with nights outside Kruger at Greater Kruger, in private reserve

Day1 Berg an Dal Camp, Kruger National Park
Depart from Johannesburg early in the morning to allow for various collection points. The route takes us through the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area before stopping for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach the Kruger National Park and Skukuza Rest Camp in the afternoon. After settling in to our camp/accommodatin, head out on our first game drive! We conduct all our game drives in specially adapted 4x4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point. On our return, there is some time to visit the park's shop, go for a walk and just familiarizing ourselves with our surroundings. Dinner is a two-course meal, served alfresco at our private camp. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 2-6 Berg an Dal Camp, Kruger National Park
Safaris are alll about early morning, getting out there and seeing animals! After an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times) have tea or coffee and rusks (dried biscuits to be dunked in your drink!) and set off on the morning safari, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sighting! On returning to Skukuza, breakfast/brunch will be ready at camp. There is time to enjoy a swim, visit the Skukuza museum, catch up on some sleep, visit the park shop which includes African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax at the viewing platform in from of the restaurant, which overlooks the Sabie River. Skukuza is also a bird watcher's paradise! Be sure to bring along your binoculars! All safaris includes a SANPARKS sunset drive. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park's vehicles with a Park's ranger. This is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive. (Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives). A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and Park's rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. On the day that you do not have the sunset drive, head out in the own open game drive vehicle. By now you will already have seen quite a lot and go in search of the ones that have eluded us thus far! One morning a SAN Parks bush walk is included - here a SAN Parks ranger leads the walk but note there may be other guests joining this activity. (Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on bush walk). A bush walk allows guests to really get close to nature! Although you may encounter some animals. you should note that the purpose of such a walk is not game viewing, but rather exploring other aspects of nature. Please remember to pack comfortable walking shoes.

Day 6 Panorama Route to Johannesburg
This morning we sadly have to leave the Park. We still have one more chance for game viewing from our closed, air-conditioned tour vehicle as well leave the park. The drive out of the park should take around 1 and half to 2hours. Then final highlight of our safaris is exploring the renowned Panorama Route! Attractions visited include the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God's Winndow. We stop en-route for lunch (own expense). The drive back to Johannesburg takes at least 6 hours and guests are advised to sleep over in Johannesburg on this night.
