Safari Itinerary

Kruger Safaris can be offered as camping or accommodated options inside the national park, as well as upgraded versions in private reserves adjacent to Kruger offering higher level of service and great sightings. Contact us for details

Day 1 Berg an Dal Camp, Kruger National Park
We depart from Johannesburg between 06h30 - 08h00 to allow for various collectin points. Our route takes us through the wide-open spaces of the highveld, down the excarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area.

Day 2 & 3 Berg an Dal Camp, Kruger National Park
Rise early and depart on an early morning drive in the hope of finding some of the nocturnal and diurnal animals before they setle down for the day; this is also the most active time for most predators, both big and small. With the sun slowly climbing higher above the savannah, experience all that the park has to offer, including the well marketed Big 5 and the incredible wealth of flora, birds and smaller mammals that make the Kruger Park unique.

Day 4 & 5 Private Game Reserve
After an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times) we have tea and coffee and rusks (dried biscuits to be dunked in your coffee or tea). Our morning safai will take approximately 3 hours; your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings! Private lodges offer two game drives per day, during which your experienced game ranger and expert local Shangaan tracker will share their extensive knowledge and love for the African bush with you. Due to a carefully planned and managed habituation process, animals and birds in the reserve have become used to having the game drive vehicles in close proximtiy, without feeling threatened. This allows us to get really close to them and forms part of the appeal of the Private Game Reserve!

Day 6 Johannesburg
An early wake-up call and coffee signals the start of your last safari of this journey. One last opportunity to experience the magic that ony the African bush can offer!
