Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Chameleon Backpackers Guesthouse, Windhoek
Upon arrival in Windhoek collect your vehicle and drive to chameleon Guesthouse in the city centre, once here You'll meet one of our tour consultants who willl go through your travel plans.

Day 2-3 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
Depart from Windhoek after breakfast and drive to Sesriem, the main campsite and entry to the famous sandv dunes of Sossusvlei; visit nearby Elim's Dune for sunset, sit and watch the sun set behind the dunes and the wonderful changing colours of the mountain range opposite and listen to the call of the banking geckos. Rise early to visit the dunes of Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei - iconic sites in Namibia and highlights of the country for good reason

Day 4-5 Cornerstone Guesthouse, Swakopmund
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund today, perhaps stop at Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon,famous for the coastal species of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, avocets, plovers and the endemic damara tern.Ontothe historic and the adventure seaside town of Swakopmund where there are lots of activities to take part in.

Day 6 Madisa Campsite, Damaraland
Depart from Swakopmund after breakfast and drive north along the Skeleton Coast, you can stop at a shipwreck just south of Henties Bay and from here perhaps drive a little further north to visit Cape Cross seal colony where over 100,000 congregate during breeding season. Twyfelfontein is famous for it's ancient rock art and one of the largest collections of Bushman work in southern Afria

Day 7-8 Okaukuejo Campsite, Etosha National Park
Etosha - Namibia's prime game reserve and spend the next days' exploring the park and searching out for some of the wildlife found in what is often regarded as one of the largest and best reserves in Africa.Spend the evening sitting at the floodlit waterhole watching to see what ventures in to drink. Famous for rhino, herds of elephant and prides of lion!

Day 9 Namutoni Campsite, Etosha National Park
Game drive further east to Namutoni- its worth a visit to Etosha Pan along the way, explore Fischers Pan!

Day 10-11 Nunda River Lodge, Bwabwata National Park
An early morning today, as you drive thhrough north to Divundu and then onto to your lodge based on the Okavango River overlooking the banks of Bwabwata park; the area is full of hippos, crocodiles and the cry of the fish eagle. Optional activities include village trips, day trip on mokoro or alternatively drive into Mahango National Park.

Day 12 Camp Kwando, Linyanti Concessions
Drive through the Caprivi Strip (now known as the Zambezi region) and Bwabwata Game Resrve today, keeping your eyes open for animals such as elephants that may crosss your path. Tonight you will be based on the Kwando River overlooking Botswana and this afternoon you might wish to enjoy a game drive into the Mudumu National Park.

Day 13-14 Chobe Safari Lodge Campsite, Chobe River Front
Cross the border into Botswana, driving through Chobe National Park to Kasane where you will be based for the next 2 nights. Your camp is situated on the river and adjacent to the park, here you can enjoy optional activities such as a boat cruise or game drive into the park to search for wildlife such as hippo, crocodiles and huge elephant herds, Chobe has one of the largest populations of elephant in Southern Africa and if you are lucky then you can see them batheing and crossing the river.

Day 15-16 Planet Baobab, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
Located on the edge of the famous huge saltpans of Botswana, your journey today will take you south to Planet Baobab. here you can enjoy optional activities, including overnight trips to the pans and meeting habituated meerkats

Day 17-18 Sango Safari Camp, Khwai
Drive to Maun and from here continue north to Sango Safari Camp, nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River and overlooking Moremi Game Reserve. Make the most of this incredibly game-rich area with game drives, night drives and mokoro excursions. An upgrade to Kwara Camp is available.

Day 19 Thamalakane Campsite, Maun
After an activity this morning, return to Maun and you may wish to wander around the town or perhaps enjoy optional activities such as a scenic flight over the delta, birding or horse riding excursion.

Day 20 Kalahari Bush Breaks, Kalahari Namibia
Drive across the border back into Namibia and onto Kalahari Bush Breaks, located in the Kalahari Basin on 4000ha private farm. This afternoon you may have time to join an optional activity such as guide walk or game drive on the reserve

Day 21 Departure
Return to Windhoek today to drop off your vehicle and take your onward connection.
