Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge, Kalahari Namibia
This morning depart after breakfast and head south onto the Kalahari Basin. The campsites are privately situated so you can relax, enjoy a self-guided walk or perhaps join a nature drive through the reserve and learn about this beautiful region and desert adapted animals that survive here.

Day 2-3 Kulala Desert Lodge, Sossusvlei
Drive to Kulala Desert Lodge located close to the Namib Nauklift National Park and set on the private Kulala Reserve. Here you will enjoy the wonder of the magnificent dunes of Sossusvlei. This afternoon join a guided drive on the reserve, and tomorrow your guide will take you on an excursion to Sossusvlei and surrounding areas, exploring the history and geological features of the region before returning to the lodge to relax for the heat of the day.

Day 4-5 Strand Hotel Swakopmund, Swakopmund
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund today, en-route you may choose to stop at Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon, a protected RAMSAR wetland site, to see the many species of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, avocets, plovers and the endemic Damara tern. From here, it is a short coastal drive to the historic and adventure seaside town of Swakopmund, and the chance to join optional activities on offer, perhaps take part in a marine cruise and experience the thrill of dolphins leaping out of the boat and feed seals by hand and enjoy fresh oysters and champaigne on the cruise.

Day 6 Mowani Mountain Camp, Damaraland
A leisurely morning before leaving the coast driving north along the Skeleton Coast and suggest you visit the huge seal colony at Cape Cross as well as stop at the shipwreck just south of Henties Bay.

Day 7-8 Damaraland Camp, Damaraland
Drive onward to Damaraland Camp - if there wasn't time for Twyfelfontein yesterday it's worth a visit this morning - perhaps also stop at Damara Living Museam for an insight on the local Damara people and culture. From here it's about 1 hour drive to your lodge where you will 2 nights exploring the beautiful landscapes and region.

Day 9 Dolomite Camp, Etosha National Park
Depart from Damaraland - your destination today is the magnificent Etosha National Park - You'll spend a night inside the park and the next 2nights at Ongava - on the wonderful private reserve.

Day 10-11 Ongava Lodge, Etosha National Park
Game drive across the park to Okaukuejo and onward to Ongava Lodge. This afternoon relax by your chalet, or in the main lounge area overlooking the waterhole, maybe join a sunset game drive searching for some of the many species of game.

Day 12 Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp, Okonjima Nature Reserve
After a leisurely breakfast and final game drive to the reserves' gate, head south to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, where you spend a final night at the campsite with 1x AfriCat Project activity included, here you have the chance to learn about predator conservation in Namibia and in particular about the endangered cheetah.

Day 13 Departure
If time permits, perhaps join a walking trail as indicated above, or another activity offerd by Okonjima. Return to Windhoek, perhaps stop at Okahandja craft markets where you can barter for African wooden crafts before continuing to the city to drop off your vehicle and take your onward connection.
