Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Chameleon Backpackers Guesthouse, Windhoek
Upon arrival in Windhoek, collect your vehicle and drive to Chameleon Guesthouse. Here you will meet a tour consultant who will go through your travel plans and answer any last minute questions. Depending on your arrival time you may choose to wander into the city centre, join an optional township tour, horse ride, or even head out for a birding trip.

Day 2-3 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
After breakfast, start your adventure - your first drive will take you to Sesriem, the main campsite and entry to the famous sand dunes of Sossusvlei. Relax by the swimming pool and later visit nearby Elim's Dune for sunset, watching as the sun dips behind the mountains opposite changing to beautiful purple colours. The following day explore the stunning sand dune sea visiting Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei

Day 4 A La Mer Hotel, Swakopmund
Drive through to the coastal town of Swakopmund, full of beautiful building and the activity town of Namibia. Perhaps quad bike or join a scenic flight this afternoon.

Day 5-6 Ai-Aiba Lodge, Erongo
Depart from Swakopmund after breakfast and drive north to the Skeleton Coast, stopping at a shipwreck just south of Henties Bay before continuing along the coastline to visit the Cape Cross seal colony - a huge colony of over 100,000 which congregate here during breeding season.Head inland to Ai-Aiba Lodge close to the Erongo Mountains and join a local San village tour to learn a little about their traditional lifestyle from singing and dancing, to lighting a fire (no matches here!) and making ropes

Day 7 Damara Mopane Lodge, Damaraland
From your lodge this morning, drive north - perhaps visit nearby Twyfelfontein rock etchings, the local Damara Living Museum or Petrified Forest en route to Damara Mopane.

Day 8-10 Okaukuejo Campsite, Etosha National Park
Drive to the amazing Etosha National Park, enter Via the Anderson's Gate and game drive to the rest camp - the next days are spent game driving in this incredible park. Search for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and the many species of antelope. Visit Etosha Pan, which can be seen from space

Day 10 Omboroko Campsite, Okonjima Nature Reserve
After leisurely breakfast and final game drive, sadly leave behind this magnificent park and head south to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, a visit to the AfriCat Project is included - you have the chance to find out about the conservation of predators in Namibia, particulary cheetah and see some of their ambassadors at close quarters

Day 11 Departure
Return to Windhoek, perhaps stop at Okahandja, for some last minute souvenir shopping at the craft markets where you can barter some gifts before returning to Windhoek International Airport and connect with your onward flight back home. No flights prior to late afternoon. End of services.
