Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Okonjima for AfriCat Foundation
Leaving Windhoek behind us, we travel north to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, one of Namibia's greatest conservation programmes and this afternoon visit cheetah in the welfare unit, which also offers great photo opportunities. Overnight camping. Accommodation upgrade available.

Day 2 Namutoni Camp, Etosha National Park
An early start and continuing north we pass through some small towns, making short stops for fresh supplies. Continuing on to Namutoni.

Day 3 Okaukuejo Camp, Etosha National Park
Today is a full day's game drive, again we leave early to enjoy the cool morning air as we game drive our way through Etosha to Halali. We stop at Halali for a rest and a leisurely lunch, there is also time to visit the waterhole and to make use of the swimming pool and bar facilities before continuing on our way and game driving down to Okaukuejo, Etosha's main rest camp and resort where we will check in and set up camp.

Day 4 Hoada Community Camp, Grootberg Pass
After a final game drive we leave the wonders of Etosha behind with a relatively short drive to Kamanjab where we visit a HImba Village and find out more on these tribes-people and their traditional way of life. We will learn about marriage customs, the mysteries of the Holy Fire and traditional food. From here we continue to Hoada Community Camp at the base of Grootberg Pass. Overnight camping. Accommodation upgrade available.

Day 5 Twyfelfontein, Damaraland
Today we head into one of the beautiful desert regions in namibia Damaraland, we drive south to the capital of this region, the small town of khorixas, and than take a detour to the west to visit the ancient bushman rock engravings at tweytelfontein. at this location we will have a local guide to conduct us on a short tour before we set up camp for the night.

Day 6 Swakopmund via Skeleton Coast Road
The next destination is Swakopmund, following the Skeleton Coast into Namibia's premier seaside town; we aim to arrive in the late afternoon giving us time to explore on foot before sunset.

Day 7 Swakopmund
Today is a free day, the idea is to allow time for everybody to do their own thing.

Day 8 Agama/Sesriem, Namib Naukluft National Park
Travel to the Namib Naukluft National Park, famous for its towering red sand dunes and spend two nights in the region where we explore Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, scale a soaring dune and enjoy the stunning vistas and hidden vleis. Overnight camping. Accommodation upgrade available.

Day 9 Agama/Sesriem, Namib Nauklift
We spend the morning in and around Sossusvlei, also visiting Dune 45, and as the day wears on we return to Sesriem for lunch to escape the heat of the afternoon. As the day cools off in the late afternoon we will take a short excursion to the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 10 Departure
After breakfast we begin our journey back over the mountains and along scenic roads as we head back to civilasation. We are back in Windhoek were you are dropped off at your accommodation.
