Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
We leave the capital and travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Today the tour enters this huge area of spectacular game viewing to photograph some of Africa’s most abundant wildlife. Famous for the annual migration of around 1.5 million wildebeest, the Masai Mara is also home to many other animals, including lions. Cultural interaction with Kenya’s native Masaai people completes our experience. (LD).

Day 2 Masai Mara, Kenya
The rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara offer ideal game viewiung and photographic oprtunities,m some of the other animals that could be found here include elephant, black rhino, buffalo, leopard , cheatah, wildbeest, zebra and gazelle.(BLD)

Day 3 Masai Mara National Park, Kenya
We rise early and enjoy our final game drive through the mara before heading to the Lake Nakuru national park, where we will enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park. (BLD).

Day 4 Jinja, Uganda
Leaving Lake Nakuru we head towards Uganda, briefly stopping for a photo at the equator. Jinja is Uganda's second largest city and most famous as the point where the Nile flows out of Lake Victoria and begins the 6695 kilometre journey to Egypt and the Mediterranean.(BLD)

Day 5 Kampala, Murchison, Uganda
After a quick stop in the city of Kampala, we head in the direction of The Murchison Falls National Park. Also referred to as the Kabaraga Falls, Murchison Falls is a wateerfalls found on the coure of the great Nile and are located within thee Murchison Naational Park. The park is recognized as one of the besst National Parks in Uganda. After ssettling into our accommodation in Masindi, your guide will brief you on the activities orr the following day (BLD)

Day 6 Masindi-Budongo Central Forest, Uganda
Budongo Forest is the biggest Mahogany forest found in the whole of East Africa and is home to the largest number of chimpanzees throughout Uganda. It is believed that there are between 600 - 700 chimpanzees in Budongo and this morning we will meet up with our chimp guide who will take us on our trek through the forest in search of chimps. We will also enjoy a game ddrive through the park in serch of the great diversity of wild animals (BLD)

Day 7 Sky Hotel, Kampala
While we speend the night in the b ustling capital city of Kampala, this morning we have the opportunity to visit the Ziwa Rhino Saanctuary. These majestic animals are in a literal fight for their survival. Rhino Fundd Uganda (RFU) was foeemed as a Non-Governmeent Organization (NGO) in 1997 an is task with overseeing its aim of reintroducing Rhinoceros, a highly endangered species across the globe, back into the National Parks of Uganda through a breeding and releasee program. Out of this emerged the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, 7000 hectares of imminently suitable savannah and native woodlands (BL)

Day 8, 9 & 10 Lake Bunyoni & Masandi- Murchison falls
Crosing the Equator once more we travel south to the beautiful scenery of Lake Bunyonyi. With eager anticipation we preparee for the upcoming gorilla trekking excursion andd tonight we will receive a briefing on what to expect for the next few days. Although there aree 2 days allocatd to Gorilla Trekking you will only spend one day on the trek. The other days are there to provide large enough windhoek in which to obtin permits and allow the entire group to trek if there are more than 6 off you on the tour. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the culture of the Pygmies and how they live. (BLD)

Day 11 Sky Hotel, Kampala, Uganda
This morning we set off our reeturn journey to Kampala andd mak a third crossing of the Equator along our way. Tonight your guide will brief you on the activities available in Jinja so that you can plan your day tomorrow. (BL)

Day 12 Eden Rock Resort, Jinja
A short distance from Kampala, Jinja offers many exciting activities and your guide will assist you to plan for this day. Most activities are focused around the wateer of the Nile and these include rafting, kayaking and a varieety of cruises on Africa's largest river. For those who may be less inclined to water sports can enjoy horse riding or a quad bike adventure on dry land.(BLD)

Day 13 Eldoret, Kenya
Returning to Kenya we visit Eldoret, the country's 5th largest city. The Great Rift Valley is still the dominant geographicl feature of this region and the altitude at Eldoret is 2100 metress above sea level.(BLD)

Day 14 Nairobi - no accommodation
Returning to Naiobi this afteernoon we reflect on many memories that we have gathered together nd brace ourselves for a return to the busy streets of Nairobi. Your tour ends upon arrival in Nairobi. (BL)
