A local ferry takes us from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar and transfer to Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar, where we will spend 3 nights there’s time to explore the historical and unique architecture, once famous for the slave and spice trade routes with a spice tour as well as join some of the many attractions on offer – from watersporks along with ocean safari options. Rent a scooter or simply relax on the beach. We also visit the beautiful Jozani Forest to seek out one of the last remaining sanctuaries of the red colobus monkey and experience the diversity of the forest.
Time to explore some of Stone Town’s bustling markets and sights before boarding the ferry and returning to Dar es Saleem, from here we drive north to Bagamoyo to overnight
The town of Arusha is surrounded by some of African most famous landscapes and national parks and launching point for our following days to explore the Serengeti for those who purchased the optional Serengeti Excursion package
The following days are set aside for the 3 night camping excursion into the Serengeti National Park and they are collected from Arusha, and enjoy a 3night camping trip taking in open–top vehicles and this remarkable safari region famed for the annual wildebeest migration. For those staying who opted not to join
Day 6: We head to Ngorongoro Crater region where your guide will brief us on the full day excursion into the crater and optional activities available
Day 7: Descending into the crater we spend the day exploring the caldera floor and finding one of the most densely–populated large animal populations in Africa – from herds of ele’s to antelope, gazelle and big cats.
Day 8: Is free to relax, participae in the included highlights or join an optional activity from the lodge such as village tours or visit Lake Manyara.
Today the group meet up again and we have the chance to exchange stories of various adventures that we participated in over the past few days.
After crossing the border into Kenya we continue to travel toward Nairobi. Founded by the British in 1899 as a simple rail depot, the town quickly grew to become the capital of British east Africa and eventually the capital of Kenya in 1963. Relax after your excursions or join optional activities
We leave the capital of Nairobi and travel to the Masai Mara full of wild animals, staggering beauty and endless plains. Spend the following day game driving through the rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara to spot some of the animals that can be found here including elephant, black rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. Hippos and crocs abound in the muddy rivers that traverse the park
We rise early and enjoy our final game drive through the Mara before heading to the Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its huge numbers of lesser flamingos and pelicans where we will enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park.
We rise early and drive toward Nairobi. Upon arrival, we will visit Nairobi Giraffe Centre, and a chance to see these elegant animals’ close–up, from here we enjoy a game drive through the Nairobi National Park for a final chance to spot animals such as rhino, big cats, hyena and antelope. Your safari ends after the visit
