Meet and greet at Entebbe Airport, transfer to your hotel and the remainder of the day is free to relax
Our destination from Entebbe takes us to Murchison Falls. En–route visit the Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch hosting the only wild rhinos in Uganda and home to around 19 southern white rhinos. From here, onward to the stunning Murchison Falls, located within one of Uganda’s oldest conservation areas. Murchison National Park is situated in the northern part of Albertine Rift Valley, where the massive Bunyoro Escarpment amalgamates into the enormous plains of land traditionally inhabited by the Acholi people.
On day 3, enjoy a morning game drive in the park searching for wildlife including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hartebeest and oribi. Continue to the launch site for a 3hour boat ride combined with a cheese and wine cruise. A highlight of any visit to Murchison Falls Conservation Area is the boat trip to view the magnificent Murchison Falls. Hippos and crocodiles are abundant and you will see plenty of game and bird life. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an evening game drive.
This morning join a chimp treking excursion and have the chance to view Man’s closest genetic relative – these cheeky primates are guaranteed to entertain. We continue via the Albertine Escarpment of the western Rift Valley to Hoima
Depart after an early breakfast, passing through beautiful verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Kibale National Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. In the afternoon join a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp to look for different bird species including the shining blue kingfisher, blue throated roller and other rare species .
After an early breakfast, start your Kibale Chimp trekking experience to search for these lively and often noisy primates – watch as they leap amongst the tree canopy, or perhaps forage or relax on the forest floor – they will certainly entertain you. In the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, understandably, this National Park is Uganda’s most popular tourist destination with its diverse ecosystems from sprawling savanna, canopied and humid forests, to sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands.
Day 7: Enjoy a morning game drive to further enjoy this remarkable area and during the afternoon embark on a wonderful Kazinga Channel boat cruise.
After breakfast, enjoy game viewing via Ishasha en–route to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The next morning, enter the forest and start your Gorilla trek. This is sure to be one of the most memorable wildlife encounters you will have – be in awe of the size yet gentleness of a huge silverback; the familiarity of a gorilla hand compared to those of a human, the way the family interacts with each other and the playful, entertaining youngsters
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park (approximately 4–5 hours’ drive). Enjoy a late afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will depart Lake Mburo and drive to Kampala/Entebbe. Time permitting you can stop for curio shopping and a photo opportunity at the Equatoredit me
