Itinerary

Day 1 Maun Botswana

Our adventure starts in Maun whose name is derived from the San word "maung", which means "the place of short reeds". The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, either relaxing next to the pool at the lodge or if you are keen for some excitement, why not book a sunset cruise on the Thamalakane River..

Day 2 Planet Baobab, Botswana

The Makgadikgadi Pans area is known for its endless expanses, baobab trees and remarkable biodiversity. After settling into our accommodation, we take a stroll with our guide through the surrounding baobab grove, finding out about the ecology, geology and the unique biology of the baobabs, which are in fact not trees but the largest succulents in the world

Day 3 Planet Baobab, Botswana

We depart for either Nxai Pan or Ntwetwe Pan – the season will dictate our destination, the pans forms part of the greater Makgadikgadi system and are the remains of a fossil lake–bed. The surrounding area is covered in nutritious vegetation and attracts vast numbers of desert herbivores such as oryx, springbok and giraffes as well as being a zebra migration route.

Day 4&5 Bedouin Bush Camp ,Moremi Game Reserve

Travelling via Maun to our camp, which is situated in a private concession in the Greater Moremi region and renowned for its concentration of mammals and it is not unusual to see many different types of wildlife and bird species during just one game drive. On day 4 we head into the famous Moremi Game Reserve known as one of the most beautiful and varied reserves in Africa with an unprecedented concentration of wildlife

Day 6 Chobe Safari Lodge, Chobe

Transfer to Khwai Airstrip for your flight to Kasane. Later in the afternoon, we enjoy a boat cruise on the Chobe River from where we can watch elephants, hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds without having to reach for our binoculars – you’ll be near enough for close –up photographs, as well as having the chance to witness a spectacular African sunset

Day 7&8 Sable Sands, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Crossing the border into Zimbabwe, we make our way to our lodge in a private concession near to Hwange National Park. The next two days are spent exploring this wildlife rich area. This afternoon perhaps join an optional game drive. The following day, game drive in this vast wilderness with its varied landscapes ranging from Kalahari sands to rocky and rugged hills as we search for game in this wildlife haven home to huge elephant herds, buffalo and zebra.

Day 9&10 Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

We travel to Victoria Falls, for our final two nights, where we enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls and have the afternoon and the next day at leisure or to partake in one of the many optional activities whether they are adrenaline–fuelled or a little more sedate!

Day 11 End of tour

Our safari ends after breakfast. You will be transferred to Victoria falls Airport in time for your departure flight. We hope to welcome you again one day on another of our African adventures.
