You’ll be collected by your guide and start the safari. Our first stop is Arusha town before setting off to Lake Manyara National Park. We will be at Tarangire National Park for lunchtime and enjoy breath–taking views of the Maasai Steppe and the mountains to the south. Tarangire is known huge elephant population and baobab trees and forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra. On day 3 our journey takes us to Lake Manyara, a hollow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions
This morning, depart early for a game drive in the world–renowned Ngorongoro Crater. For many, this wildlife spectacle is the pinnacle of their safari experience. The crater boasts all of the ‘Big 5’, including a small population of endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we head towards the Serengeti through the stunning southern plains. This is the area best known for endless, undulating grass savannah with rocky outcrops that serve as isolated wildlife refuges. The following day is spent game driving around the Serenera region to see some of the planet’s most diverse wildlife spectacles in the most accessible area of the park
Today we retrace our steps with a morning game drive through the Serengeti followed by Picnic Lunch, before we continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route we visit Olduvai Gorge.
After breakfast we explore the colourful town of Mto–wa–Mbu for some last–minute pictures and curio shopping. Afterwards we head to Arusha where the tour will end.edit me
