Upon arrival, you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your lodge in the lush forests surrounding the town of Arusha where the remainder of your day is free to explore and acclimatize
You’ll be collected by your guide and start the safari. Our first stop is Arusha town before setting off to Lake Manyara National Park. We will be at Tarangire National Park for lunchtime and enjoy our first game drive this afternoon. Tarangire is known huge elephant population and baobab trees and forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra.
This morning takes us towards Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive located in the north–western corner, lying at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. This hollow soda lake is known not only for its large flocks of flamingos but the elusive tree–climbing lions – keep your eyes open!
This morning, depart early for a game drive in the world–renowned Ngorongoro Crater. For many, this wildlife spectacle is the pinnacle of their safari experience. The crater boasts all of the ‘Big 5’, including a small population of endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we head towards the Serengeti through the stunning southern plains. This is the area best known for endless, undulating grass savannah with rocky outcrops that serve as isolated wildlife refuges. The following day is spent game driving around the Serenera region to see some of the planet’s most diverse wildlife spectacles in the most accessible area of the park. The Serenera River is the lifeblood of the Serengeti and renowned for superb year–round game viewing – in particular lion, cheetah and leopard
Today we retrace our steps with a morning game drive through the Serengeti followed by picnic lunch, before we continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route we visit magnificent Olduvai Gorge and made famous by the Leakey discoveries of hominid remains and enabled humans to discover the chain of evolution
After breakfast we explore the colourful town of Mto–wa–Mbu for some last–minute pictures and curio shopping. Afterwards we head to Arusha where the tour will end.edit me
