Itinerary

Note the itinerary below is a guideline and based on the 4 day Kruger itinerary, this safari offers a shuttle service from/to Johannesburg to Kruger and can be shortened to a 3day tour or extended up to 7days offering flexibility to the time you have available.

Day 1 Kruger National Park

Depart from Johannesburg and transfer to Kruger, the route takes you through the wide–open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area where you stop for lunch before reaching Kruger National Park in the afternoon. After settling in and meeting with your guide who will take care of you during your stay, go out on your first game drive on a SAN PARKS sunset drive, this drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and the park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Park’s ranger.

Day 2&3 Kruger National Park

Our next days are spent exploring Kruger, and each morning and afternoon we will experience this incredible and famous park. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings – the region is famous for big cats so watch out for lion and leopard in particular, though the park is also home to the Big 5, plenty of antelope and plains game. We enjoy the game drives in an open vehicle to search for some of the many animals found here.

Day 4 Johannesburg

After a final game drive to the park gate in our air–con transfer vehicle, we leave Kruger behind and return to the city arriving late in the afternoon. No flights prior to the evening or overnight here.
Optional Excursion (free of charge) An optional excursion is offered to visit select attractions along the Panorama Route in all Kruger Safaris of 3 days or longer stopping in one of the small towns en–route for breakfast (included) and visit attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. This excursion is available free of charge, replaces one of the morning drives and will be co–ordinated by the staff while you are on safari.
