The Victoria Falls, one of the Natural Seven Wonders of the World, is one of the main attractions to Southern Africa - and rightly so. This huge fall, reported as the largest sheet of falling water in the world, has wound its way and created chasms over millions of years and those that visit cannot help but be enthralled by the power and thunderous roar. Also known as Mosi-u-tunya, The Smoke That Thunders, its not surprising that early discoverers were a little in awe of its power. These days, visitors have plenty of options of how they see them, from the air, from the banks of the river, from the bridge...
Visitors can visit the Falls from either side - either from Zambia or from Zimbabwe and both offer unique and quite different views. Zambia allows you to the Boiling Pot - certainly an up close experience and in high water the spray is likely to soak you. From Zimbabwe you can appreciate the length of the falls from the opposite bank.
Livingstone, Zambia is the main town, this developing town now has a selection of accommodation, restaurants and its own atmosphere - quite unique, whilst also having the countrys biggest and oldest museum. Victoria Falls,
