Family Holidays In Uganda
7 DAY UGANDA FAMILY SAFARI

Day 1
Day one of our safari and we pause for supplies and snacks in Kampala before heading west towards the town of Barbara where we will stop for lunch. From here we take the road to Kasese which runs straight through the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Driving down the plateau we are given breathtaking views which sweep before us and of the Rwenzori Mountains in the background. Upon checking-in there’s the chance to go for a dip in the pool!

Day 2
The next morning we are up with the sun to make the most of the early dawn game viewing. Here you can hope to spot all of the game which Africa is famous for – lions, elephants, leopard, buffalo and many different species of antelope and birdlife. Queen Elizabeth has the most recorded species of bird (over 600) of any other national park within East Africa. Bring your binoculars!

After a leisurely lunch we take the boat launch on the Kazinga Channel where hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffalo will be in great abundance either at the waters edge, or along side your boat! We return to our accommodation in time for a well deserved sundowner and a swim.

Day 3
We have another early morning around the Mweya area of the park returning for a late breakfast. In the afternoon you are free to either continue game driving, or relax by the pool.

Day 4
Today we will drive out of QE and through the countryside, before emerging on to the lower thorn and savannah scrub lands of Lake Mburo National Park. Zebra, buffalo, Ugandan Kob and plenty of other species abound in this beautiful park, where you either stay in the stunning Lodge built atop a kopje with incredible views across the park, or in the National Park bandas, down by the lake - where hippos usually come and graze close by.

Day 5
Fancy a walk on the wild side?! This morning you will have the option of a guided walking safari enabling you to get up close and personal on ground level to the many beautiful animals that roam freely in the park. Later in the afternoon you may wish to take an optional boat trip out onto the lake, or just unwind with a good book whilst the children have the opportunity of using the pool.

Day 6
After breakfast we drive east, crossing the Equator where we stop for lunch and a cappuccino, giving you time to shop for crafts and gifts and watch the local water demonstration of the different gravitational pulls! Afterwards we continue our drive down to the edge of Lake Victoria, arriving in Entebbe by late afternoon.
