Day 1 Windhoek - 1night bed and breakfast Upon arrival at the airport you will collect your vehicle and drive to Windhoek. Depending on the time your flight arrives you may have time to explore the capital city and see the sights. Tonight you will be based in a bed and breakfast style guesthouse near the center of the city. Overnight in a twin bedded room with en-suite facilities. Bed and breakfast only, all additional meals are at own expense.
Day 2 Okonjima Main Camp 1 night dinner, bed and breakfast Depart from Windhoek and drive north to Okonjima, situated just south of Otjiwarongo and around 3 hours from Windhoek. The AfriCat Foundation is based here and is devoted to the conservation of predators, specifically cheetah and leopard with the aim to ease the conflict of interests that arises between humans and carnivores. A large part of their work is in animal welfare – rehabilitating and relocation animals, which have been causing problems in their home territory and providing refuge and veterinary care for injured or orphaned animals. This afternoon you will have close encounters with large predators such as cheetah and leopard and get some excellent photo opportunities. Overnight in the Main Camp, in a twin bedded room with en-suite facilities. A thatched lapa offers a bar, lounge, and dining area along with the reception and the swimming pool and self guided walks are close by. Dinner, brunch and one activity included.

Day 3-6 Northern Damaraland - 3nights dinner, bed and breakfast Continue your drive this morning to your lodge in the heart of Damaraland. This is a community-based establishment, where plateaus reach high on skyline and strange plant life dominates the surrounds. Overnight twin bedded chalet with en-suite facilities and amazing views across the plateau and down into the valley below. You will spend 3 nights here and be able to enjoy activities such as rhino tracking. This ¾ day rhino tracking excursion both in the vehicle and on foot, the rhinos were relocated from the Kunene region in 2006 and with the backing of the Save The Rhino Trust and the Namibian Government (Ministry of Environment and Tourism) these animals are now adapting to their new home and have settled well, it is hoped in the near future that additional animals will be added. The following day you can enjoy a search for the elusive desert adapted elephant that live in Damaraland, or, alternatively you can enjoy a game drive in the region looking out for the game such as black rhino, mountain zebra, kudu, klipspringer and springbok. Dinner, bed and breakfast and 2 activities included. Dinner is served in the restaurant.
Day 6 Hobatere Lodge - 1night dinner, bed and breakfast Your destination today is Hobatere Lodge; this lodge is based close to the western gate of Etosha National Park (only open to Namibian Tour Operators) and has its own concession land. The lodge is well situated, has en-suite rooms and chalets, swimming pool, lounge and bar area as well as a waterhole. The reserve has a large amount of game and it is not unusual to see predators such as leopard, lion, african wildcat and cheetah as well as game such as elephant, hyaena and various antelope species. To appreciate this fully you may wish to enjoy an optional game drive in the afternoon or evening or even a guided bush walk early morning. Overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis in a twin bedded share accommodation with en-suite facilities. No activities included.

Day 7-10 Etosha National Park - 3 nights bed and breakfast Today you head for Etosha, Namibia’s prime game reserve and spend the next three nights enjoying game drives in this premier park, one of the largest and best reserves in Africa. Etosha is over 22,000 sq kms and home to many species of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hyaena, giraffe as well as antelope including the endemic black faced impala and over 340 species of birds so you should be kept amused. Etosha can be translated to ‘great white place’ and you will have the opportunity to visit the pan and appreciate the vastness of the region. Your accommodation will be in or around this famous park depending in availability on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 10 Lodge, Rundu - 1night bed and breakfast Depart after breakfast and from here head north to Rundu. There is a significant change along the way as more villages and more people are apparent, cattle and goats graze by the side of the road as the area has much more of a water resource. The lodge is situated on the riverbank overlooking Angola and depending on what time you arrive, you may have a chance to join an optional activity of a river boat cruise for sunset (optional and can be booked when you arrive). Overnight twin bedded room with en-suite facilities. Bed and breakfast only.

Day 11 Lodge, West Caprivi - 1night dinner, bed and breakfast After breakfast drive through to Divundu and onto your base for tonight. This lodge is situated on the banks of the Kavango River that leads into the famous Okavango Delta. This region is much more than green than in other areas of Namibia and huge trees offer shade from the scorching sun. Ndhovu offers fully equipped luxury tents with en-suite facilities and you can enjoy optional activities such as a boat trip or game drive to the nearby Mahango National Park. Here you will have the chance to see buffalo, sable, red lechwe – animals that need plenty of water and aren’t found in parks such as Etosha. Tonight, your dinner will be served in the thatched lapa overlooking the river while you listen to the calls of the hippos. Dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Day 12 Namushasha Lodge - 1night bed and breakfast Your drive takes you across the famous Caprivi Strip; en route keep your eyes open for elephants that may cross the road in the National Park area. The lodge sits on the banks of the Kwando River, opposite Bwabwata Park so you can keep your eyes open for crocodiles and hippos from the wooden deck. You can enjoy a game drive into the nearby Mudumu National Park or if you prefer, take a stroll to a nearby village to meet some of the locals and learn about their traditional way of life. Overnight in a twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom, bed and breakfast only. |

Day 13&14 Kasane, Botswana - 2nights accommodation only Cross the border today into Botswana driving through Chobe National Park to Kasane where you will be based for the next 2 nights. Your lodge will be situated on the river and here you can enjoy optional activities such as a boat cruise or game drive into the park to search for wildlife such as hippo, crocodiles and huge elephant herds, Chobe has one of the largest amounts of elephant to any park in Southern Africa and if you are luck then you can see them bathing and crossing the river. The park is also renowned for great birdlife, many being water birds. The whole region is very different to any of the game parks in Namibia and worth the time spent here. Overnight in twin bedded room with en-suite facilities on accommodation only
Day 15 & 16, Livingstone, Zambia for Victoria Falls - 2nights accommodation only From Botswana you will leave your vehicle and transfer across the border into Zambia and onto Livingstone. This bustling town is a thriving community and close to the mighty Victoria Falls, certainly worth a visit to appreciate the scale and power of the Falls. Here you can enjoy optional activities such as helicopter and plane flights over the Falls, elephant back riding and for the more adventurous gorge swinging or white water rafting. There are plenty of things to choose from. Overnight in luxury tented accommodation with en-suite facilities. Accommodation only.
