Here I am safely back in cold, grey, raining Canberra, missing the big blue Namibian sky. I wanted to write quickly, before I return to work and life gets hectic again, to tell you what a fantastic trip I had. Of course the countryside and animal and birdlife were spectacular. The way the trip was put together, however, was absolutely critical to the enjoyment. Your advice on distances to travel, to which locations, which combination of camping grounds and lodges etc. meant we had a perfect balance of experiences.
Most importantly I wanted to let you know what a fantastic guide Beanie was. I would be a little shocked if this is a surprise to you as she is an absolute gem! As a group of pretty accomplished women in our own worlds, accustomed to be in charge of situations, I'm sure we weren't the easiest group Beanie has had to deal with - but her good spirit and high level of profressionalsm, won over all our hearts. Her comprehensive knowledge of the countries, history, geography, human settlement, fauna and flora was extremely impressive. Her energy and good humour infectious. Beanie's physical skills, driving, quickly establishing our campsites, her organisational skills and her impressive people skills applied to us and the many people we encountered along the way. Despite the fact that I'm normally a bit of a scardie cat, I felt in safe hands at all times, including when we were confronted by a rather unfriendly bull elephant!
Honestly Jules, we each wanted to adopt Beanie and take her home with us. She was very, very impressive and the linchpin of our wonderful trip.
Thanks again to you all for a fantastic experience. I hope it won't be my last to your part of the world.

Just to let you know that we had a fantastic tour with Beanie. Everything went so smoothly from our point of view and she is a brilliant guide, giving us loads of information and working so hard to make our trip really enjoyable and memorable. She has a great sense of humour and fun and this, together with her enthusiasm and love of Namibia, all helped to make for a great holiday and experience. We hope she enjoyed herself too. Thank you all as well for arranging such a great itinerary for us. The lodges were all different but all very comfortable and welcoming and we survived the camping!! We just returned from our trip. We had an absolutely fantastic time!! The itinerary you arranged for us was perfect….the accommodations, the food, the people we met along the way – everything was great! Richard was an excellent guide and we learned a ton from him about the history, the geology, the geography, the plant and animal life and the various peoples of Namibia, plus he’s a great guy and we had a lot of fun with him. Thank you so very much for arranging everything and for your exceptional “customer service” skills. You and Chameleon were the reason our trip was so wonderful and we’ll definitely be recommending you, your company and your beautiful country to all of our friends.

We're back in Belgium since yesterday and I would like to tell you that we had an incredible nice trip. What a holiday !! Thanks a lot for a perfect arrangement of our itinerary - everything went smoothly as expected, we saw so many landscapes and so many animals. Memories for at least 5 years. In addition, I would like to tell you how impressed we all were by the professionalism of our super-guide Beanie ! She's really invaluable - her knowledge about history and culture, about the animals, her know-how on how to deal with the group, on how to deal with the car : we were all astonished. We have admired her enthusiasm from the early beginning untill the very last moment of the trip - she's really great ! |

We had an absolutely brilliant holiday in Namibia with Chameleon. Thanks for the excellent itinerary you put together and organised for us. Everything went exactly as planned and the choices of campsites and hotels were fantastic. The host of the B&B in Windhoek was incredibly friendly and hospitable and provided excellent food both evenings. The accommodation in Swapokmund was of a very high standard and Erindi lodge was luxurious in the extreme!
Richard, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable about all aspects of Southern African history, geography and all the plants and animals we encountered on our travels and imparted the information in such a way to appeal to both adults and children alike. He provided excellent food, conversation as well as participating in all the sports played by our children along the way - rugby and cricket on the Etosha salt pan being a particular highlight. He became more of a friend than a guide by the end of the trip and we wish him all the best in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, the highlights being incredible game spotting in Etosha, the sand dunes especially sandboarding and the trip to the Himba village. It was also really interesting to see the cheetah foundation and get up close to such beautiful animals. By following the route that you planned we were gradually exposed to the animals and so the children who were thrilled to see a gemsbok from 100 metres for the first few days got within 5 metres of lions and elephants by the end of the trip.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Chameleon and I wish you every success in your career with the company. Namibia is a beautiful country and a fabulous place to visit with children.
