The Di Rosa family (August 2011) A week back home and my feet have hardly hit the ground & I don’t feel like I have stopped running!!! Finally, I have had a moment to write to you and there you were, an email waiting! Our holiday exceeded all our expectations and we cannot thank you enough for all your advice and organisation. It was complemented by Willem’s presence and expertise and he certainly became an honorary Di Rosa during the course of our trip! We enjoyed every aspect of the journey and we feel the whole family have had a wonderful introduction to Africa and we certainly hope our boys will return, as backpackers perhaps, in the future. We would certainly like to come back and explore the North, the Caprivi Strip and venture into Zambia one day, probably when we no longer have dependents! We would have no hesitation recommending Chameleon Holidays to our friends and family and we definitely appreciated having our own guide who taught us so much about Namibia for which we have developed a huge fondness. Such a beautiful and diverse country and absolutely all the people we met at every accommodation were so pleased that we had come to Namibia for our holiday and we enjoyed our tour. We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome! Kind regards from a very appreciative and informed Di Rosa Family,
The Ziegler family (February 2011) Back home again after a very relaxing and enjoyable trip with Beanie through Namibia we want to express our gratitude to the Chameleon team. We were planning a family holiday in Namibia with us coming in from Angola and Germany. From the very first beginning the scheduling with Jules has been very efficient. Jules was guiding us with many suggestions preparing an itinerary suitable to our wishes and abilities. We were impressed by the prudential planning which turned out to be prefect. Together with our guide Beanie we had marvelous two weeks in Namibia traveling from Windhoek to the Kalahari desert, Sossuvlei dunes, Sesriem Canyon, through the desert of Henno Martin, Swakop (sand boarding, quad biking, parachuting and golfing), the seals at Cape Cross, the “white lady” at Brandberg and Etosha National Park with my friend Spotty the Zebra and finally the Okonjima Cats. We experienced a wonderful green Namibia with waterfalls in the desert, birds, flowers and of course happy animals who enjoyed the green grass of the rainy season. Beanie with her profound knowledge opened to us the beauty of the wonderful nature. Thank you very much – we hope we will have some day again the opportunity to travel with you. (Then we should not miss again the chance to have a whiskey (Irish) at the poolside of Chamaeleon with Jules)
Feedback from Jenny (May 2008) Here I am safely back in cold, grey, raining Canberra, missing the big blue Namibian sky. I wanted to write quickly, before I return to work and life gets hectic again, to tell you what a fantastic trip I had. Of course the countryside and animal and birdlife were spectacular. The way the trip was put together, however, was absolutely critical to the enjoyment. Your advice on distances to travel, to which locations, which combination of camping grounds and lodges etc. meant we had a perfect balance of experiences. Most importantly I wanted to let you know what a fantastic guide Beanie was. I would be a little shocked if this is a surprise to you as she is an absolute gem! As a group of pretty accomplished women in our own worlds, accustomed to be in charge of situations, I'm sure we weren't the easiest group Beanie has had to deal with - but her good spirit and high level of profressionalsm, won over all our hearts. Her comprehensive knowledge of the countries, history, geography, human settlement, fauna and flora was extremely impressive. Her energy and good humour infectious. Beanie's physical skills, driving, quickly establishing our campsites, her organisational skills and her impressive people skills applied to us and the many people we encountered along the way. Despite the fact that I'm normally a bit of a scardie cat, I felt in safe hands at all times, including when we were confronted by a rather unfriendly bull elephant! Honestly Jules, we each wanted to adopt Beanie and take her home with us. She was very, very impressive and the linchpin of our wonderful trip. Thanks again to you all for a fantastic experience. I hope it won't be my last to your part of the world.
