Day 1-2 Kulala Wilderness Camp or Kulala Desert Lodge Collect your vehicle and after breakfast depart Windhoek to drive into the desert. The next two nights are spent at a Wilderness Camp. Both offer comfort and style and activities are plentiful. Situated approximately 30 kilometres from Sesriem on a 7 000 ha property, theCamp has wonderful desert scenery and offers close access to Sossusvlei as well as privacy and exclusivity. The property harbours vast desert plains and rugged mountains, with views of the dunes in the distance. Activities are excellent and varied, and your experienced guides and pilots will bring the desert to life during drives, walks, flights and ballooning. An early morning drive to Sossusvlei, with breakfast under the camel thorn trees is essential. The Sossusvlei region is famous for some of the highest dunes in the world and early light is one of the best times to visit, with the cool morning air and watching the sunrise along with the changing colours of the dunes it is truly breathtaking. Dead Vlei is a must, the skeletal camel thorns standing on the white pan with the orange dunes and blue sky as a backdrop is a photographers delight. An optional extra is to see the sun changing the colours of dunes and mountains at dawn from a hot air balloon the following morning (client expense). It goes without saying that the night skies are amongst the clearest on this planet, with the stargazing platform and astral telescope being a popular after dinner rendezvous. Two nights at the Camp on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis giving you the freedom to explore the region on your own or to join any of the optional activities (own expense). Alternative suggestions include Little Kulala, Wolwedans, Le Mirage or Sossusvlei Lodge.

Day 6 Okonjima Bush Camp, AfriCat Foundation Enjoy a morning game drive before driving to Okonjima, situated just south of Otjiwarongo. The AfriCat Foundation is based here and is devoted to the conservation of predators, specifically cheetah and leopard with the aim to ease the conflict of interests that arises between humans and carnivores. A large part of their work is in animal welfare – rehabilitating and relocation animals, which have been causing problems in their home territory and providing refuge and veterinary care for injured or orphaned animals. You will have the opportunity to get close encounters with large predators such as cheetah and leopard and get some excellent photo opportunities. The delightful accommodation at Okonjima Bush Camp consists of thatched African style chalets, well spaced out for privacy in the tranquil bush surroundings, plus a central main lapa area in the form of a camel thorn pod where meals are taken and activities commence. Each exclusive en-suite chalet is completely private and the green canvas ‘walls’ can be rolled up to give you an 180 degree view so you can lie in bed and watch life in the bush going on around you whilst you relax in total comfort. Overnight based in a twin share room on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis with one activity included per person. Day 7 Windhoek Return to Windhoek to drop off your vehicle and take onward flight
