Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is situated in the Kaokoland, often described as one of the last truly wild areas in the North West of Namibia and it features beautiful mountain landscapes and rugged tranquillity.
The lodge offers a sophisticated desert experience for a maximum of 18 guests. Accommodation comprises of 7 luxury chalets with en suite large bathroom with bath tub overlooking the magnificent surroundings, a choice of indoor and open air shower and a spacious private gazebo with a queen size sun bed. One Presidential suite with two double bedrooms, external verandas, private gazebo's and a private lounge.
You can enjoy your stay by either lazing around the swimming pool, reading a book in the cool comfort of the library, or relaxing in one of the two open air lounges. The menus changes daily and can be a delicious fusion of Italian to African cuisine. At night the dinners are served by candlelight in one of the two dining rooms or around the swimming pool, or by the fire-lit traditional Namibian boma under the stars. Most of the fresh produce served comes from their organic garden. During your stay at Okahirongo Elephant Lodge, you can explore a truly untouched wilderness area. The activities include: desert adapted elephant tracking, twice daily game and scenic drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives, morning desert walk, visit to local Himba village.
