Ngepi Camp, green and shady, is perfectly located on the banks of the Kavango River, at the start of the Caprivi Strip and close to the Okavango Delta.
There are 8 private riverside campsites & 3 more in the bush. All sites have real green GRASS to pitch tents on, braai areas, parking, access to power points & Ngepi's famous ablutions, with hot and cold water. Overland trucks and larger tour groups stay on a separate area of the camp with their own facilities.
For the non-campers, there are 2 simple Bush Huts, made of reed walls & thatch with en-suite bathrooms, and 3 Deck Tents on raised wooden platforms overlooking the river, and NEW for 2006 we are introducing a number of Tree-houses, similar to the Bush Huts but on raised platforms under the tree canopy.
Ngepi has a unique floating swimming pool IN the river, boat trips to view hippos and crocs, game drives to Mahango & Bwabwata Parks, mokoro trips, canoeing, a sun deck, star bath, frisbee golf course, volley ball, abundant bird life, internet, telephone, a lively bush bar, fishing (rods for hire), walking tours to a local village, traditional dancing and drumming performances can be arranged and last, but not least, great parties and music! Meals are served and a shop sells basic items including firewood, and a laundry service is available.
