I really want to stress that the success of our trip was largely due to our guide. He is a true professional! What a find - did you know how amazing he was when you hired him. A careful & considerate driver, a superb cook & inventive too. A top notch guide who knew so much about the country, its history, its peoples & tribes as well as geology, astronomy, botany & of course wildlife. Not only was his knowledge 100% but he was able to express himself in perfect English using colloquialisms & idioms I would not have expected. He was great with the kids; understood them & played riddles & tricks with them - they absolutely loved him! He was great with me because whenever I offered to do the washing up, he indicated that he;d already done it & that I was to get on with drinking my beer - I was happy to comply. That guy is worth his weight in gold! I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone & especially families. Thanks also to you who did all the reservations & bookings & dealt with all the behind the scenes paperwork, etc. And It was such a pleasure to be persnally welcomed by you both on arrival & at the end of the trip. Thank you CHAMELEON - you were fantastic Lauis family - August 2010
Hereby an e-mail from Luud and Andrea Bochem, the father and daughter you made a 10-day itinerary for around October 13th. We want to thank you so much for everything, we had an amazing holiday! It’s was an extremely balanced programme in many respects. We absolutely loved all the places you booked us! If we have to point one place as our number one, that would be Camp Kipwe. It’s beautiful, with very friendly staff, who really made an effort, and didn’t work to get their pay slip at the end of the month, but to lift the place to a higher level. In swakopmund we went sandboarding, which was good fun! Last night we stayed in Amani Lodge, another great place! We write you this from Jo’burg airport (where we’re waiting for 6,5 hours for our flight), looking back on an unforgettable 10 days! Thank you very much for all your help
Boxall family feedback (2007) Thank-you for a fabulous family safari. what a fantastic holiday! We were very impressed with the level of communication and useful advice/suggestions before booking, all based on personal recommendation as a result of our extensive requests about what we wanted to fit in! The personal service is what sets you apart from other companies - I lost count of the number of questions you answered which gave us great confidence in coming out with our 6 and 8 year olds. In giving us personal recommendations and details about why you suggested places, you provided us with a wide ranging holiday covering all our prerequisites (culture, animals & mountain walking) and some we're glad we added (sand-boarding, quad-biking). The level of service was well illustrated by your ability & willingness to change some of our plans at very short notice to fit in some extra activities not originally planned. A comment by Adam having just run down a Sossusvlei sand-dune ("I'm so glad we came to Namibia!!") sums up what the children thought of the holiday too. An ideal destination for families .......... we will definitely be back - there's so much more to do!!
Essam family feedback - September 08 Just to let you know that we had a fantastic tour with Beanie. Everything went so smoothly from our point of view and she is a brilliant guide, giving us loads of information and working so hard to make our trip really enjoyable and memorable. She has a great sense of humour and fun and this, together with her enthusiasm and love of Namibia, all helped to make for a great holiday and experience. We hope she enjoyed herself too. Thank you all as well for arranging such a great itinerary for us. The lodges were all different but all very comfortable and welcoming and we survived the camping!! Namibia is such a beautiful country that we hope we will be able to come back again before too long.
Chase Family feedback - August 09 We had an absolutely brilliant holiday in Namibia with Chameleon. Thanks for the excellent itinerary you put together and organised for us. Everything went exactly as planned and the choices of campsites and hotels were fantastic. The host of the B&B in Windhoek was incredibly friendly and hospitable and provided excellent food both evenings. The accommodation in Swapokmund was of a very high standard and Erindi lodge was luxurious in the extreme! Richard, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable about all aspects of Southern African history, geography and all the plants and animals we encountered on our travels and imparted the information in such a way to appeal to both adults and children alike. He provided excellent food, conversation as well as participating in all the sports played by our children along the way - rugby and cricket on the Etosha salt pan being a particular highlight. He became more of a friend than a guide by the end of the trip and we wish him all the best in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, the highlights being incredible game spotting in Etosha, the sand dunes especially sandboarding and the trip to the Himba village. It was also really interesting to see the cheetah foundation and get up close to such beautiful animals. By following the route that you planned we were gradually exposed to the animals and so the children who were thrilled to see a gemsbok from 100 metres for the first few days got within 5 metres of lions and elephants by the end of the trip. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chameleon and I wish you every success in your career with the company. Namibia is a beautiful country and a fabulous place to visit with children.
