Day 1 Andersson’s Camp, Etosha National Park
Your guide will collect you at your accommodation establishment in Windhoek. We will then drive north to a camp situated immediately outside of the Etosha National Park. Upon arrival at Andersson’s Camp, you will have the rest of the afternoon free, you may choose to relax by the pool or use the bar facilities. Andersson’s Camp is surrounded by plains teeming with wildlife and situated close to Etosha National Park (this vast expanse of savannah and saltpan, the largest in Africa, was ‘discovered’ by Sir Francis Galton and Charles Andersson in 1851. The discoverer atmosphere of Andersson’s Camp makes for a much more comfortable modern exploration of this landscape. The resurrected farmstead now forms the anchor fronting on to a thriving waterhole, and the 20 tented guest units with en-suite bathrooms have been raised on decks for an enhanced view. This model of eco-sensitive lodging provides an authentic, safe and down-to-earth experience for small groups, families and independent travellers to Etosha. Overnight is based in an en-suite room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Your lunch will be on your own expense. (D)

Day 2 Andersson’s Camp, Etosha National Park
We start today’s journey by waking early to enjoy our breakfast and have a dawn departure to the Andersson’s Gate (gateway to Etosha National Park) to enjoy the first light and find the animals when they are at their most active. Game driving inside the National Park we will visit many waterholes including Okaukuejo, which frequently attracts the endangered black rhino.  We will explore this incredible park and make the most of the opportunity today. Etosha is 22,270kms (about the size of Wales) and is home to many species of animals including lion, leopard, cheetah, black and white rhino, elephant, hyaena, giraffe and numerous antelopes. There are also many species of reptiles and birds, it’s a wildlife haven and regarded as one of the top game reserves in Africa. The unique Etosha Pan – one translation means "Great White Place" can be visited and we can stand on it to appreciate the vast and emptiness of this place looking into the distant horizons and see the shimmering mirages. We will head out of the National Park just before sunset to return to camp. Overnight is based in an en-suite room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Your guide will provide lunch inside the National Park (BLD)

Day 3 Twyfelfontein Country Lodge, Damaraland
Our journey today takes us all the way to the Twyfelfontein vicinity in the heart of Damaraland. The Twyfelfontein area, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site (and the first in Namibia), is a very vulnerable and delicate ecosystem, is renowned for some of the best examples of rock paintings and engravings in Southern Africa. Interesting rock formations and the remainder of prehistoric volcanic action can be seen in the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain, among the most prominent geographic features. The fauna and flora of Damaraland include; plants such as welwitschia, moringa and a variety of commiphora species and animals such as the desert elephant, rhinoceros, giraffe, springbok, oryx and ostrich living in total harmony with the community and the communal farming activities of the Uibasen Twyfelfontein Conservancy. The lodge, situated in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy has en suite double rooms, reception, lounge, curio shop, dining room (open), bar and swimming pool. The development was done to minimize the visual impact on the environment and blends into the mountainside with the use of thatch roofs, natural stone and paint colours blending with the surrounding rock formations. You may choose to relax by the swimming pool and mingle with other travelers. Overnight is based in en-suite rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Your guide will prepare en-route lunch. Dinner will be served in the restaurant on your own expense. (BL)

Day 4 Twyfelfontein Country Lodge, Damaraland
After a scrumptious breakfast today we will game drive around this vicinity to keep an eye on game roaming these areas, we will then visit the rock etchings and a local guide will inform us of the history and importance of these etchings. We will return back to our lodge and spend the afternoon either by the swimming pool or bar facilities on leisure. Overnight is based in en-suite rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Your guide will prepare en-route lunch and dinner will be served in the restaurant on your own expense. (BL)
