Ai-Ais, means "burning water" in one of the local languages,
The resort is situated at the southern end of the Fish River Canyon and the water from these springs can reach temperatures of up to 65 degress, the water is extremely high in minerals and has a healing properties which is very good for rheumatism sufferers. The resort has a restauraunt, tennis bar and snack bar and can also be visited as a day trip.
