Camp Kalahari

A stylish camp nestled amongst the acacias and mokolwane palms of Hyaena Island, on the edge of the ancient super lake, close to Chapman's Baobab and adjacent to the National Park, is Camp Kalahari.  Inspired by the traditional safari style of the old explorers, this is a great way to experience the pans at an affordable price - an ideal camp for those wanting fun, comfort, style and adventure.

Camp Kalahari accepts kids of all ages making it a perfect family destination.  There are 10 meru tents including a family unit and each has an en-suite outdoor bathroom, as well as classic old safari style comfy beds, stripey blankets and hot water bottles for the depths of winter.

Activities include - quad biking across the pans, game walks with bushmen - a perfect opportunity to learn about traditional ways and lifestyles of these people.  You are also very likely to see the rare and elusive brown hyaena and the gang of habituated but wild meerkats - this is pure entertainment as they scurry around to forage, chatter to each other and use various guests to climb on to gain that extra height advantage to assist with spotting any foe!
